What is the WarpCast News Service? The WarpCast News Service from OS/2 e-Zine! and the OS/2 Supersite is the Internet's most comprehensive and up to date source for OS/2 news -- and it's free. It contains content from usenet newsgroups as well as information from a variety of other sources and information found by OS/2 e-Zine! and OS/2 Supersite staff and WarpCast readers.- back to top - To sign up for automatic e-mail delivery of WarpCast news, use our on-line form. You will receive a confirmation message via e-mail. Once you reply to this message, you'll be registered to receive news.- back to top - Why does my subscription confirmation message bounce? - back to top - How do I unsubscribe or change my e-mail address? To remove yourself from automatic e-mail delivery of WarpCast news, you can also use our on-line form. Again, you will receive a confirmation message via e-mail. Once you reply to this message, you'll be removed from the service.- back to top - How can I contribute news or rumors to WarpCast? To submit news, rumors or other announcements, you must be a member of the WarpCast list. Once you are subscribed (subscription is simple and free), just send your news and rumors to news@os2ezine.com, or use our news submission form. (If you send us a rumor, PLEASE clearly mark it as such.) A moderator will approve your message and send it to the list as soon as possible.- back to top - OK, this is nice and all, but I want to join a discussion list. There are several good OS/2 discussion lists:- back to top - How do I know WarpCast news is accurate? All WarpCast messages are clearly marked with the name of the source of the message and whether the news has been verified or not.- back to top - What currency are the prices in WarpCast announcements? Often press releases and other announcements refer to prices of software and other products. Usually the type of currency is either clearly indicated or it is meant to be in US dollars. To be certain, contact the person identified in the "From: " line at the top of the press release.- back to top - How frequently will I receive news? WarpCast will be delivered to your e-mail inbox whenever there is news to be found. This means that messages may come in several times a day on a busy OS/2 news day.- back to top - Is there a web site where I can read WarpCast news? Yes! If you prefer to read WarpCast news on the web, just visit http://www.os2ss.com/warpcast/. This site contains all the messages that are posted to WarpCast and is updated in "real time".- back to top - Is there a digest version available? Yes, simply go to the list management page, enter your e-mail address, and select the digest delivery button. Then submit the form and you will begin receiving daily digests.- back to top - I signed up but I'm not getting messages. What's wrong? First, make sure you attempted to subscribe to WarpCast with your correct e-mail address. When you subscribe to WarpCast, you will receive a verification message. You must reply to this message in order to complete your subscription. Once you reply to this message, you will receive confirmation that you are subscribed. If you did not receive a verification message and a confirmation message, you are not subscribed. Try subscribing again. Please Note: You must have the text EXACTLY as it appears above or you will not get a confirmation message! - back to top - Post Road Mailer reports attachments but does not decode them properly. Users of Post Road Mailer who subscribe to the digest version of WarpCast occasionally experience a problem where PRM "sees" an attachment that does not really exist in the message. Due to its advanced attachment decoding logic, PRM believes that a line in the message is the beginning of an attachment and attempts to decode it.- back to top - What's the catch / what does it cost?
