APC Back-UPS Office
Although its been a while since we reviewed this, any OS/2 user is going to love a UPS. Once installed, your
computer will continue to operate even when the power goes out. If you live in an area subject to power
problems or brownouts, this little gadget will keep your PC humming. You might have a little trouble finding that
exact model, it has been replaced with the
Back-UPS VS 500 Broadband and goes for about $80.
Unfortunately while it will still power your PC, since it uses a USB connection for
signalling, there is no OS/2 software that will monitor the UPS and shut your PC down automatically for you when the power goes out. If you want such a
solution, check out the availability of models supported by UPS Monitor
a great OS/2 shareware solution for as little as $6.50.
