Warpstock Europe 2001 comes to Belgium
The Warpstock Europe Event Team is pleased to announce that Europe's annual OS/2 and eComStation conference is coming back for the third time, this time crossing the border to Belgium. Warpstock Europe 2001 will be held at the 'KH Limburg' College in Diepenbeek, Belgium on November 2-4, 2001.

HOBLink X/11 in eCS
The HOBLink X/11 X server will now be included in eComStation. The announcement is at
the eComStation web site. HOBLink will be available for
free download to registered eComStation users.
Application News
PMView 2.30 is out!
The PMView 2.30 image viewer adds support for SFF (Structured Fax File), playback of animated GIF files, and improved support
for OS/2 high memory which allows PMView to load images as large as 3072M. There are also a number of bugfixes.

Styler/2 1.6.4 released
Alessandro Cantatore has released an updated version of his
WPS enhancer, Styler/2, aka SmartWindows. This version adds new titlebar bitmaps, a new titlebar button
theme by Don Eitner, and a new close titlebar bytton by Marco Cassili plus some bugfixes. With
this version there are several language specific versions on
Hobbes, which cover English, Italian, Russian, and German.
Styler/2 version 2 is still under heavy development, but a first alpha version should
be available in a few days.
F 4.5g beta released
Duy Nguyen has released version 4.5g beta of F, the Swiss
army knive of file managers. F is a freeware text-mode multi-platform
application. Supported operating systems are OS/2, AIX, BSD, Linux, and
Win32.
Besides bugfixes there are also some new features which include virtual
file system (VFS) support for several more archiver formats including WarpIN, bzip2, and RAR.

Web Server News
Apache 2.0 beta
If you run an Apache server and have been anxiously awaiting the performance improvements and new features
of Apache httpd v2.0 to come to OS/2, your wait is coming to an end. The current development version can
now be downloaded from the author or from
the Apache website (much faster.)
Note that REXX CGI scripts don't currently work.
WebSphere EMERGENCY: Application Server Could Stop on July 19, 2001
If you run WebSphere application server, you need to update your certificates if you have security enabled
and are running the DummyKey Ring.
If you are not using the IBM-provided DummyKey Ring and/or do not have
security enabled, or if you are using WebSphere Application Server for
OS/390, you don't need to worry.

English Printer Pak 18 released
IBM has updated all printer drivers (laserjet, omni. pscript and plotter)
in PrinterPak 18. At the moment
they are only available in English.

IBM has released an updated UDF.IFS Version 1.5
This software package provides full CD-RW, DVD-ROM and DVD-RAM file system
support for OS/2 Warp Server for e-Business and the Convenience Packages.
